Obituary for Patsy Lou (Greene) Adams

Patsy Lou (Greene)  Adams
Mrs. Patsy Lou (Greene) Adams, age 83, of near Brooksburg, Indiana, entered this life on May 20, 1931, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of the late, Alonzo "Lonnie" & Martha Mae (Covington) Greene. Patsy was united in marriage on September 28, 1951, in Madison, Indiana, to the late, Charles Edward "Bill" Adams & to this union arrived two sons, Charles & Douglas to bless their home. Patsy & Bill shared nearly 54 years of marriage together until Bill passed away on March 2, 2005. Patsy retired from the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Brooksburg Baptist Church in Brooksburg, Indiana & the Vevay VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 5396. Patsy resided in the Switzerland County Community, since the age of 5. Patsy enjoyed watching TV, cooking, gardening & canning. Patsy died at 9:50 am Thursday July 17, 2014, at her residence near Brooksburg, IN.

Patsy will be missed by her loving sons: Charles N. Adams of Brooksburg, IN; Douglas W. Adams & his wife: Fran of Bordentown, NJ; 3-grandchildren: Sarah Lin McAfee, Nathan Travis Adams, David Stevenson & Randall Stevenson; 8-great-grandchildren: Logen Chase Cassidy, Sam McAfee, Molly McAfee, Claire Louise Stevenson, Shane Stevenson, Derek Stevenson, Avery Stevenson, Levi Stevenson; 2-sisters: Betty Waldon of Madison, IN; Jo Scotti of Vevay, IN; 2-brothers: Anthony Wayne Greene of Madison, IN; Richard Greene of Madison, IN; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alonzo "Lonnie" & Martha Mae (Covington) Greene; her husband: Charles Edward "Bill" Adams; her sisters: Lillian Mae White, Pauline "Polly" Yengich, Jean Greene, Emma Lee Greene & an infant sister; her brothers: Robert T. Greene & an infant brother; her nephew: Richard L. "Dickie" White; her great-niece: Loni Amber Lynn Turner.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 21, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Mark Lee, at the Brooksburg Baptist Church, Brooksburg, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Brooksburg Cemetery, Brooksburg, Indiana

Friends may call 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043 & Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at the Church.
