Theda Lavora (Potter) Seal, age 77, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 9, 1937, in Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, Carl & Dallie (Gibson) Potter. She was raised in Floyd County, Kentucky, where she attended school. Theda was united in marriage on November 30, 1950, in Cleves, Ohio, to the late, Edward James Seal & to this union arrived five sons, Larry, Rick, Jerry, Randy & Todd & a daughter, Debbie to bless their home. Theda & Edward shared 26 years of marriage together until Edward passed away on October 16, 1976. Theda was employed on the assembly line for Cambell Housefeld in Harrison, Ohio, for 7 years. She was employed as a Waitress for Frisch's Restaurant, for several years & for Restaurant in East Enterprise, Indiana, for several years. Theda resided in the Switzerland County Community since 1972. Theda will be remembered for her love of canning, sewing, working puzzles, crocheting, but most of all for her love of owls, especially White Snowy Owls. Theda died at 5:45 am, Thursday, July 17, 2014, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Theda will be missed by her sons: Larry Lusby & his wife: Kathy of Brookville, IN, Rick Seal of Madison, IN, Jerry Seal & his wife: Georgina of Vevay, IN, Randy Seal of Holton, IN, Todd Seal & his wife: Marie of Charlestown, IN; her daughter: Debbie White & her husband: Joe of Moores Hill, IN; her grandchildren: Jake, Cathy, Becky, Ricki, LaDonna, Jerri Lynn, Russell, Carla, Kasey, Greg, James, Kayla, Earl, Jason, Randall, Ashley, Justin, Mikey & Scotty; her great-grandchildren: Kelly, Wyatt, Olivia, Tatan, Billie Jo, Anna, Cameron, Carter, Gavin, Kylie & Kenley; her sisters: Madge Chambers of Batavia, OH, Sue Claxton of Bennington, IN, Barbara Potter Murphy of Batavia, OH; her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Carl & Dallie (Gibson) Potter; her husband: Edward James Seal; her son: James D. Seal; her companion: Harlan "Jack" Scudder; her brother: Clyde Potter.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Ron Lee, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana
