Mrs. Carol June (Hill) Seymour, age 79, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on June 4, 1935, in New Alsace, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Clarence E. & Clementine T. (Berger) Hill. She was raised in New Alsace, Indiana & was a 1953 graduate of Lawrenceburg Consolidated High School in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Carol attended night school at the College of Mt. Saint Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 2 years. Carol was united in marriage on February 20, 1960, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to Charles H. Seymour & to this union arrived two sons, Curt & Chuck & a daughter, Cyndi to bless their home. Carol & Charles shared 54 years of marriage together until her passing. Carol was Deputy Clerk for Switzerland County, for 2 years & Switzerland County Clerk of the Court, for 8 years. She was a former Assistant Treasurer for Switzerland County School Corporation, for several years. Carol resided in the Switzerland County Community since 1971. She was a former Vice Precinct Committeeman for Cotton Township. She was a member of the Switzerland County Democrat Party, Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay, Indiana & was a former member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Carol will be remembered for her love of working crossword puzzles, reading books, but most of all spending time with her family & friends. Carol died at 2:45 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Carol will be missed by her husband of 54 years: Charles H. Seymour of East Enterprise, IN; her sons: Curt Seymour & his wife: Karen of Rising Sun, IN, Chuck Seymour & his companion: Jerri Leach of East Enterprise, IN; her daughter: Cyndi Barnes & her husband: Mitch of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren: Sgt. Jamin Moore, Aaron Moore & his companion: Audi Chastain, Jeff Barnes & his wife: Chasity, Josh Buchanan & his wife: Stephanie, Justin Barnes & his companion: Amanda Faber, Lakyn Buchanan; her great-grandchildren: Brayden Moore, Braylon Barnes, Kaydence Barnes, Brooklyn Barnes; her sister: Celeste Lemm & her husband: Jack of Madison, IN; her several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews & staff members at Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center that she loved like family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence E. & Clementine T. (Berger) Hill; her father-in-law & mother-in-law: Hank & Pearl Seymour; her grandson: Jon Barnes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, July 28, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Father Christopher Craig, at the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church, North Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana

Friends may call 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, July 27, 2014, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. The Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, July 27, 2014, 7:30 pm, at the funeral home.
