Mrs. Antoinette Evelyn "Toni" "Sweetie" (Griswold) Kniola, age 66, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on March 12, 1948, in Michigan City, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, John C. & Evelyn A. (Rhinehart) Griswold. She was raised in Michigan City, Indiana, where she was a 1966 graduate of St. Mary's High School. Toni was united in marriage on December 29, 1992, in Madison, Indiana, to John Raymond Edward Kniola. Toni & John shared nearly 22 years of marriage together until her death. Toni was a former Teller at NIPSCO in Michigan City, Indiana, a former employee for Florida Power & Light in Tallahassee, Florida & a former Secretary for her husband, John at Pullman Company in Chicago, Indiana, for 6 1/2 years. Toni was a Secretary & Board Member of her family's business, The Foster Printing Company in Michigan City, Indiana. Toni was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Corvette Club in Madison, Indiana, the Switzerland County YMCA, Republican Women's Club, the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church, the Vevay American Legion Post #185 Ladies Auxiliary, the Vevay VFW Post #5396 Ladies Auxiliary, the Historic Hoosier Theater, where she served as past President & Board Member in Vevay, Indiana. She was a life member of the Switzerland County Historical Society in Vevay, Indiana. Toni enjoyed the theater, spending time with her grandchildren, antique cars & volunteering in her community & she was a story fest volunteer. Anytime you would see Toni in town, she always had a smile on her face.Toni will truly be missed by her family & dear friends in the Switzerland County Community. Toni died at 8:12 pm, Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Toni will be truly missed by her husband of 22 years: John Raymond Edward Kniola of Vevay, IN; her granddaughter: Heather Nicole Kahne & her husband: Ashton of San Diego, CA; her grandson: Cody Christopher Topa & his wife: Heather of Knoxville, TN; her great-grandson: Chris Topa; her brothers: Matthew Griswold & his wife: Erica of Michigan City, IN, Nicholas Griswold & his wife: Toni of Michigan City, IN; her sister: Mary Beth Wolford & her husband: Jerry of Chesterton, IN; her several nieces & nephews & dear friends in the Switzerland County Community.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John C. & Evelyn A. (Rhinehart) Griswold; her son: Christopher Gerard Topa, died March 27, 2004.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Father Christopher Craig, at the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay, Indiana.
