Mrs. Carmethia Ann "Ann" (Tullis) May, age 82, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on September 16, 1932, in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of the late, Lyman & Noel (Carter) Tullis. She was raised in Madison, Indiana, where she attended school. Ann was united in marriage on October 1, 1949, in Pleasureville, Kentucky to Thomas Benton "Tommy" May Jr. & to this union arrived a son & four daughters to bless their home. Ann was a former Assistant Manager for the Dollar Store in Vevay, Indiana, for 10 years. She was also a former employee for Wal-Mart in Madison, Indiana, for 3 months. Ann owned & operated a gift & craft shop in Vevay, Indiana, for 3 years. Ann resided in Switzerland County, Indiana, on Tapp's Ridge, since 1957. Ann farmed all of her life with her husband, Tommy on the family farm on Tapp's Ridge. Ann was a member of the Tapp's Ridge Home Economics Club & quilted with the ladies aid society at the Mount Sterling Baptist Church in Mount Sterling, Indiana. Ann was also a member of the Fredonia Baptist Church in Vevay, Indiana. Ann will be remembered for her love of collecting antiques, antique dishes, playing piano & reading. Carmethia Ann died at 8:30 am Monday September 22, 2014, at the 7170 Tapps Ridge Road in Vevay, IN.

Ann will be missed by her husband: Thomas Benton "Tommy" May, Jr. of Vevay, IN; her son: Ronnie May & his wife: Mary of Ormond Beach, FL; her daughters: Julie Moore & her husband: Joe of Hanover, IN, Kathy Barton & her husband: Clyde of Georgetown, KY, Susan Brown & her husband: David of Crown Point, IN, Carol Carr & her husband: Dennis of Avon, IN; her grandchildren: Ronald Gene May & his wife: Tammy, T.R. Bear & his wife: Lindy, Heather Kester & her husband: Jason, Bryan David Brown & his wife: Heather, Ronald Scott Brown & his wife: Erin, Megan Moore, Haley Rhodes & her husband: Chris, Brooke Speheger & her husband: Matthew & Brandon Carr & his wife: Kayla; her great-grandchildren: Ashley, Jayden, Jorja, Annabelle, Clayton, Issac, Jonas, Abram, Joshua, John Thomas, Grant & Jacob; her brother: John Tullis of Madison, IN; her sister: Gwen Sprong of Lexington, IN; her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lyman & Noel (Carter) Tullis; her grandson: Clayton Gregory "Greg" Bear, died January 20, 2010; her twin brothers: Oscar Tullid & Lynam Tullis, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 26, 2014, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Howard Wade, at the Fredonia Baptist Church on Tapps Ridge in Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.

Friends may call 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043 & noon until time of funeral service at the Fredonia Baptist Church.
