Mrs. Tycia Lynn (Peters) Sigmon-Martin, age 51, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on September 17, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving daughter of, Harold Wayne & Ingrid Tycia (Petrakos) Peters. She was raised in Switzerland County & was a 1981 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Tycia was united in marriage on March 20, 1999, at the Brushy Fork Baptist Church, near Pleasant, Indiana, to the late, Dennis W. Sigmon & to this union arrived a daughter, Elizabeth Tycia to bless their home. Tycia & Dennis shared 3 years of marriage together until Dennis suddenly passed away on July 24, 2002. Tycia was later united in marriage on August 2, 2006 at Brushy Fork Baptist Church, near Pleasant, Indiana, to Paul D. Martin, Jr. Tycia & Paul shared 8 years of marriage together until her death. Tycia was a former employee at Reliance Electric in Madison, Indiana, for 12 years & at the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for several years. Tycia was currently employed as a Dietary Nutritionist for the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana, since 2008. Tycia was a member of the Vevay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #185 & the Brushy Fork Baptist Church. Tycia will be remembered for her love of singing, reading & watching movies. Tycia will be dearly missed by her loving family & friends. Tycia died at 3:15 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2014, at her brothers residence in Pleasant, Indiana.

Martin, Jr. of Vevay, IN; her daughter: Elizabeth Tycia Sigmon of Vevay, IN; her mother: Ingrid Tycia (Petrakos) Peters of Vevay, IN; her sisters: Raquel Hankins & her husband: Billy of Bennington, IN, Melissa Humes & her husband: Howard Jr. of Madison, IN; her brother: James Peters & his wife Laurie of Pleasant, IN; her nieces & nephews: Danielle, Ryan, Kaitlin, Chelsea & Quentin; her great-niece: Leila; her aunts & uncles: Darlene Roberts & her husband: Joe of Vevay, IN, Karen Miller & her husband: Norman of Vevay, IN, Louella McCarty of Vevay, IN, Charlie Peters & his wife: Vicki of Vevay, IN, Roberta Konkle & her husband: James of Vevay, IN; her father-in-law & mother-in-law: Jerry & Diane Sigmon of Vevay, IN; her brother-in-law & sister-in-laws: Greg & Candace Sigmon of Vevay, IN; Kristin Sigmon of Indianapolis, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father: Harold Wayne Peters, died February 20, 2009; her 1st-husband: Dennis W. Sigmon, died July 24, 2002; her grandmother: Della B. (Pickett) Petrakos, died July 28, 2009; her uncles: John D. Petrakos, died July 29, 2005 & Junior McCarty, died August 22, 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 7, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Chris Clemans, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, Indiana.

Vevay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #185 services will be held at 7:30 pm, Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the funeral home.
