Mr. James E. "Bud" Henry, age 89, of Rising Sun, Indiana, formerly of Patriot & Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on April 4, 1925, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the son of the late, Harvey & Lillian (Romans) Henry. He was raised in Patriot, Indiana, where he attended school. Bud was inducted into the Unites States Army on March 31, 1946, Camp Atterbury, Indiana, where he received the Victory Medal. Bud was honorably discharged with the rank of Technician Fifth Grade on September 30, 1947, at Point Fort Lewis, Washington. Bud was united in marriage to Myroleen Reese who passed away in June of 1952. Bud was later united in marriage on June 16, 1956, in Rising Sun, Indiana, to the late, Hilda Rebecca "Becky" Koons. Bud & Becky shared 51 years of marriage together until her death on January 16, 2007. Bud was a former Janitor & Guard for the Aurora Casket Company in Aurora, Indiana, retiring in 1987 after 20 years of service. He was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for 4 1/2 years. He was a former Street Commissioner in Rising Sun, Indiana. Bud was a member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 in Vevay, Indiana & the Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana. Bud attended the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Rising Sun, Indiana. He resided in the Patriot Community most of his life where he was Town Marshall & later moved to the Vevay Community in 1991. Bud farmed most of his life in the Switzerland & Ohio County Communities. Bud enjoyed collecting pocket knives, coon hunting & farming. Bud passed away at 1:29 am, Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Bud will be missed by his sons: James Gaylen "Sonny" Henry & his wife: Debbie of Cass Union, IN & Dean Henry & his wife: Tina of Florence, IN; his daughters: Cheryl Plyman of Aurora, IN & Robin McGuire & her husband: Daryl of Versailles, IN; his grandchildren: Kim, Greg, Julie, Chad, Josh, Jessica, Jason, Lindsey & Courtney; his great-grandchildren: Nathan, Chelsea, Katie, Maggie, McKenzie, Lyndy, Jack, Caleb, James, Jonah, Jadyn, Kaitlyn, Riley, Paycin & Carly; his great-great-granddaughter: Raelynn; his sister: Gertrude Chipman of Rising Sun, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harvey & Lillian (Romans) Henry; his 1st wife: Myroleen (Reese) Henry, died June 1952; his 2nd-wife: Hilda Rebecca "Becky" (Koons) Henry, died January 16, 2007; his grandson: Chris Henry; his brothers: Alva, Everett, Howard & Leonard Henry; his sisters: Hallie Rayl, Jessie Dean Henry & Katherine Bosaw.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 12, 2015, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Don Campbell, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Patriot, Indiana, with full military rites.
