Life Story for Wilfred Leroy "Willie" Pavy

Mr. Wilfred L. "Willie" Pavy, age 90, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana & Medway, Ohio, entered this life on April 26, 1924, in Fairview, Indiana, the son of the late, Wilbur F. and Edith (Orem) Pavy. He was raised in Fairview, Indiana and was a 1943 graduate of Vevay High School. Willie was inducted into the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He served in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. Willie was united in marriage on June 15, 1946, in Vevay, Indiana, by Rev. Frank Reed, to the late, Joanne Trinkle and to this union arrived three daughters, Pam, Debbie & Becky to bless their home. Willie and Joanne shared 39 years of marriage together until she passed away on August 10, 1985. Willie was later united in marriage on March 26, 1993, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to Roberta (Furnish) Robinson. Willie and Roberta shared 22 years of marriage together until his death. Willie was employed as a Machinist for NCR in Dayton, Ohio, for 30 years. He was also employed for the Clark County Engineers in Springfield, Ohio, for over 10 years. Willie enjoyed helping his brother, Donnie on the farm. Willie was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Willie enjoyed playing golf and cards. Willie died at 7:05 pm, Sunday, February 15, 2015, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Willie will be missed by his loving wife: Roberta (Furnish) Pavy of Lawrenceburg, IN; his daughters: Pam Reese & her husband: Kevin of Chicago, IL, Debbie Massie & her husband: Bob of Stafford, VA, Becky Dickinson & her husband: Gary of Aubrey, TX; his step-daughters: Donna Wehmeyer of Lawrenceburg, IN, Diane Caudill & her husband: Wayne of Aurora, IN, Bessie Henson of Lawrenceburg, IN, Ann Craven & her husband: Tracy of Lawrenceburg, IN; his step-son: Jim Robinson & his wife: Kerrie of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren: Matt McDonald, Molly Reichart, Melanie Foley, Shane Massie, Amber Willis, Ashlea Stitt, Courtney Marley, Jason Mulrooney, Jessica Thompson & Andy Mulrooney; his step-grandchildren: Jason Wehmeyer, Sarah Wehmeyer, Tracy Mennis, Tara Grimes, Heather Caseltine, Joey Caseltine, Kelsey Lewis, Andy Robinson, Allison Landry, Crystal Craven & Casey Craven; his 23-great-grandchildren & 14-step-great-grandchildren; his brothers: Donald Pavy & his wife: Linda of East Enterprise, IN & Kenneth "Bucky" Pavy & his wife: Betty of Lawrenceburg, TN & his sister: Joy Briggs of Vevay, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur F. & Edith (Orem) Pavy; his 1st wife: Joanne (Trinkle) Pavy, died August 10, 1985; his brothers: Halstead Pavy, Ray Pavy, Marvin Pavy, Rev. Doyle Pavy & Paul Pavy & his sister: Helen Cleeter.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 1:00 pm, by Father Peter Gallagher, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.

Full military rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 & the Vevay VFW Post #5396 at the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.

Friends may call 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
