Mrs. Juanita P. (Swango) Scudder, age 84, of Pleasant, Indiana, was one of ten children born to Clifford and Lula Elizabeth (Brown) Swango. She was born on April 25, 1930 and lived her life in Switzerland County, Indiana. She spent 43 years on a farm near Bennington, Indiana. She was united in marriage to the late, Harold E. Scudder on July 11, 1947 in Vevay, Indiana. Harold passed away on July 28, 2004. To this union three girls and two boys were born to bless their home. Her grandson, Chris Konkle came to live with them when he was 8 months old. She was a member of the Braytown Christian Church and attended the Bennington United Methodist Church. She was a farmer, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. She enjoyed keeping a meticulous lawn. Family meant a lot to her. Be happy you got to know me, don't feel sad, just happy we all have to go sometimes. I'll still be around when you least expect it. Please take care and love each other even if you don't want to. Life is short. I'll keep a watch over all of you. I love you all so much. Love always, Mom. Juanita passed away at 6:05 am, Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Juanita will be dearly missed by her loving daughters: Sharon Chandler & her husband: Roger of Madison, IN, Bonnie Browning & her husband: Dicky of Cross Plains, IN & Janice Lembach & her husband: Creighton of Elk Grove, CA; her sons: Eugene Scudder of Bennington, IN & Bobby Scudder & his companion: Glenda Young of Madison, IN; her special companion: Sonny Chatham of Vevay, IN; her grandchild she raised: Chris Konkle of Madison, IN; her grandchildren: Keith, Brian, Kelli, Kevin, Allen, Jason, Joshua, Missy, Billy, Amanda, Cassie, Ashley, Brittney & Ethan; her 27-great-grandchildren; her 6-great-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Helen Peelman of Vevay, IN & Patty Christian of Pleasant, IN; her brothers: Clifford Swango, Jr. of Vevay, IN & Larry Swango of Vevay, IN; her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clifford, Sr. & Lula Elizabeth (Brown) Swango; her husband: Harold E. Scudder, died July 28, 2004; her grandparents; her sisters: Linda Lou Snyder, Dorothy Louise Osborn, Mary T. Peelman, Clara L. Dunning & Frances L. Osborn.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 11:00 am, by Rev. Howard Wade, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
