Life Story for Garland D. "Dale" Duke

Garland D. "Dale"  Duke
Mr. Garland "Dale" Duke, age 54, of Batesville, Indiana, formerly of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on August 12, 1960, in Madison, Indiana, the son of, Garland Junior & Wanda Nell (Noble) Duke. He was raised in Bennington, Indiana & was a 1977 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Dale was united in marriage on August 12, 1978, at the Bennington United Methodist Church in Bennington, Indiana, to Robin Rebecca Henry & to this union arrived a son, Jason & two daughter, Lindsey & Courtney to bless their home. Dale was a former Welder for the Aurora Casket Company in Aurora, Indiana, for 19 years until he became disabled. Dale resided the past 6 years in Batesville, Indiana. Dale enjoyed being outdoors, walking & listening to music. Dale died at 8:15 am, Friday, April 17, 2015, at his residence in Batesville, Indiana.

Dale will be missed by his son: Jason Duke of Greensburg, IN; his daughters: Lindsey Nelson & her husband: Scott of Versailles, IN & Courtney Baker & her husband: Richard of Burlington, KY; his parents: Junior & Wanda (Noble) Duke of Batesville, IN; his grandchildren: McKenzie, Paycin, James, Jonah, Lyndy, Jack & Jayden; his brother: Steve Duke & his wife: Jamie of Versailles, IN; his sister: Tracy Duke of Batesville, IN & his nieces & nephews: Natasha, Elisha, Brandon, Ethan & Cammie.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 23, 2015 by Rev. C. Martin Justice at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana.

Interment will follow in the Slawson Cemetery, Bennington, Indiana.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Mental Health Center in Batesville, Indiana. Cards are available at the funeral home.
