Mr. Gary Lee Hambrick, age 70, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on October 23, 1946, in Madison, Indiana, the son of the late, Granville Nelson Hambrick and Leona "Sissy" (Leap) Madison. He was raised in Vevay, Indiana where he attended school. Gary was united in marriage in 1966 on Tapps Ridge in Vevay, Indiana, to Mary Jane "Janey" Furnish and to this union arrived two daughters, Gail Lee and Anissa and a son, Jarrod Lee to bless their home. Gary was later united in marriage on April 15, 1991, in Vevay, Indiana, to Kimberly Ann Robinson and to this union arrived a son, Taylor Matthew to bless their home. Gary and Kimberly shared 25 years of marriage together until his death. Gary was a former Manager for Swifty in Seymour, Indiana, from 1981 to 1991. He was formerly employed as a Supervisor for the State Highway Department, from 1991 to 2003. He was a former Deputy for the Switzerland County Sheriff's Department and a Police Officer for Town of Vevay, for several years. In 2003, Gary was employed as a Security Officer for Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, retiring in 2011, after 8 years of service. Gary was a former Fire Chief for the Jeff-Craig Volunteer Fire Department in Vevay, Indiana. He was a former member of the East Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department in East Enterprise, Indiana. Gary attended the Mount Sterling Baptist Church in Mount Sterling, Indiana. Gary resided the past 25 years in the East Enterprise community. Gary enjoyed mowing his lawn, fishing, bowling and racing cars at Edgewater Sports Park in Cleves, Ohio. Gary will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. Gary passed away at 7:38 am, Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Gary will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 25 years: Kimberly Ann (Robinson) Hambrick of East Enterprise, IN; his daughters: Gail Lee Davis and her husband: Ben of Vevay, IN and Anissa Ann McFadden and her husband: John of Madison, IN; his son: Taylor Matthew Hambrick of East Enterprise, IN; his grandchildren: Chris Peelman, Ashley Davis, Alijah Hambrick, Deven McFadden, Jace Hambrick and Tanner Hambrick; his brothers: Mike Madison of Madison, IN, Nelson Hambrick of Fairfield, OH and Randy Hambrick of Fairfield, OH and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Granville Nelson Hambrick and Leona "Sissy" (Leap) Madison; his step-mother: Louise Hambrick; his son: Jarrod Lee Hambrick, died May 24, 2006 and his grandson: Dakota McFadden.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Bill Madison, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
