Mrs. Kristina Lynn "Krissie" (Rayls) Stephan, age 45, of Canaan, Indiana, entered this life on November 3, 1971, in Madison, Indiana, the loving daughter of, Gary Lee Rayls and Jean (Weaver) Thurnall. She was raised in Moorefield, Indiana where she was a 1990 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. She earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College in Madison, Indiana. Krissie was blessed with two daughters, Kaitlynn Michelle and Emilee Jean. Krissie was united in marriage on November 7, 2011 in Wears Valley, Tennessee, to Dustin Stephan. Krissie and Dustin shared nearly 6 years of marriage together until her sudden passing. Krissie was an Administrative Assistant for Continental Construction in Ghent, Kentucky, for 1 year. She was a former employee for Harsco Metals & Minerals in Ghent, Kentucky, for 12 years. Krissie was a member of the Caledonia United Presbyterian Church in Moorefield, Indiana. Krissie enjoyed spending time with her grandkids that called her "NoNo" because she would always tell them no! She also enjoyed going to the mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Krissie will be deeply missed by her loving family and abundance of friends. Krissie passed away suddenly at 5:09 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2017, at her residence in Canaan, Indiana.

Krissie will be deeply missed by her loving husband of nearly 6 years: Dustin Stephan of Canaan, IN; her daughters: Kaitlynn Michelle Camarena and her husband: Daniel of La Barca, Jalisco and Emilee Jean Lovins and her husband: Derick of Madison, IN; step-son, Chandler Stephan of Madison, IN; her grandchildren: Tristen, Adalyn, Natalee, Asher, Maveryk, Alexander and Austyn; her father and step-mother: Gary Lee and Judy Rayls of Moorefield, IN; her mother and step-father: Jean (Weaver) and Darrell Thurnall of Moorefield, IN; her grandmother: Frances Weaver of Moorefield, IN; her step-grandmother: Beulah Morris of Moorefield, IN; her sisters: Karrie Ann Rayls and her companion: Cory Hankins of Vevay, IN and Lila Jean Rayls of Moorefield, IN; her step-brothers: Gerald McClure of Springfield, TN, David Thurnall of Corydon, IN and Patrick Thurnall of Madison, IN; her step-sister: Tammy Henry of Indianapolis, IN and her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: J.B. Weaver, died July 23, 2010 and her paternal grandparents: Elmo Rayls, died October 28, 2004 and Betty Rayls, died August 10, 2002.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 11:00 am, by Rev. Mike Barnes at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, Moorefield, Indiana.
