Life Story for Lucy J. Branson (Gullion)

Lucy J.  Branson (Gullion)
Mrs. Lucy J. (Gullion) Branson, age 92, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 31, 1925, in Carrollton, Kentucky, the loving daughter of the late, John Scott and Faye (Banta) Gullion. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and attended the Vevay High School. Lucy was united in marriage on September 26, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, to Lyle "Red" Branson and to this union arrived a son, Timothy to bless their home. Lucy and Red shared nearly 52 years of marriage together until he passed away on March 28, 1999. Lucy was a former Para Professional for the Dayton Board of Education in Dayton, Ohio, retiring after 19 years of service. Lucy was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible in Dayton, Ohio. She resided for the past 75 years in the Dayton, Ohio community. Lucy passed away at 2:08 pm, Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.

Lucy will be deeply missed by her son, Timothy Wayne Branson of Dayton, OH; her sister, Betty S. Gullion of Dayton, OH and her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Scott and Faye (Banta) Gullion; her husband of nearly 52 years, Lyle "Red" Branson, died March 28, 1999; her brothers, James, John, Thomas, Paul, George and Ernest Gullion and her sisters, Martha Young, Anna Ayler and Mary Kay Scudder.

Friends may call 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the First Church of the Open Bible, 4990 Troy Pike Dayton, Ohio 45424 and from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Gary Peterson at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
