Mrs. Carol Jean (Davy) Cougill, age 75, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on September 12, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Robert Davy and Mary Elizabeth (LaCroix) Miller. She was raised in Dayton, Ohio where she attended Belmont High School. Carol was united in marriage on August 9, 1975, in Dayton, Ohio, to Lewis E. "Lou" Cougill, Jr. Carol and Lou shared nearly 43 years of marriage together until her death. Carol was an associate at ICC Paint in Fishers, Indiana, where she retired. She resided in the Noblesville, Indiana community on the family farm and for the past 12 years in the Vevay, Indiana community. Carol loved bird watching and tending to her flowers. She and the family dogs (past and present) Max and Lucy were sweet companions. She enjoyed playing games and chatting with friends and family on social media. Carol was an avid reader and talented artist. Carol will be missed beyond measure. Carol passed away at 4:20 a.m., Sunday, March 11, 2018, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Carol is survived by her husband of nearly 43 years, Lewis E. "Lou" Cougill, Jr. of Vevay, IN; her sons, Chris Whitney of Orlando, FL, Brian Whitney and his wife: Linda of Indianapolis, IN and Lewis R. Cougill and his wife: Jeana of Noblesville, IN; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Whitney of Miamisburg, OH; her grandchildren, Kasey Shaw and her husband: Zach, Jonathan Whitney, Bryce Flemming, Lewis T. Cougill and Xander S. Cougill; her great-grandchildren, Carter Shaw, Logan Shaw and Dani Flemming; her sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Daugherty and her husband: Bill of Dublin, OH and her nieces, Mary Daugherty of Seattle, WA and Noelle Daugherty and her husband: Jack Erter of Nashville, TN and lifelong friend, Claudia Thom of Bloomington, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Davy; her mother and step-father, Mary Elizabeth (LaCroix) Miller and Noel Miller.

Celebration of Carol's life will be held from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Lou and Carol's residence, 714 Caledonia Road Vevay, Indiana 47043.
