Life Story for James David "Jim" Henry
Mr. James David "Jim" "Poodod" Henry, age 87, of Aberdeen, Indiana, entered this life on June 30, 1930, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the son of the late, Everett and Anna Pearl (Eaglin) Henry. He was raised in Ohio County, Indiana where he attended school. Jim was united in marriage on January 25, 1962, at Grants Creek Baptist Church, to Betty Ann (Sigmon) Henry and to this union arrived a daughter, Joyce and three sons, Doug, Tim and Scott to bless their home. Jim was employed for the State Highway Department, retiring in 1988 after 20 years of service and was a farmer most of his life. He resided all of his life in the Ohio County community. Jim passed away at 8:40 p.m., Friday June 8, 2018, at The Waters of Rising Sun in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Joyce Theetge and her husband: Ernie of Aberdeen, IN; his sons, Doug Henry and his wife: Marea of Aberdeen, IN, Tim Henry and his wife: Renee of Aberdeen, IN and Scott Henry and his wife: Dora of Aberdeen, IN; his grandchildren, Teresa, Misty, Jeremy, Doug, Mara, Marissa, Amanda, Felicia, Megan, Colton and Wyatt; his great-grandchildren, Aubree, Braxton, Logan, Maci, Samuel, Mia, Joshua, Maxwell and Aria; his sister-in-law, Betty Ann (Sigmon) Henry of Aberdeen, IN and his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Anna Pearl (Eaglin) Henry; his brothers, Everett Henry, Jr. and Earnest Henry and his sisters, Helen Gulley and Elizabeth Henry.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 11, 2018, at 1:00 pm, by Eldon Fancher, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Aberdeen, Indiana.
