Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Slack, age 78, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on February 12, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the loving son of the late Albert U. "Ben" and Dorothy (Scudder) Slack and was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana. Bob was a 1961 graduate of the Vevay High School and played basketball for the Vevay Warriors. Bob was inducted into the United States Army on January 5, 1965 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He served in Germany where he was a military police officer for 1 year, 6 months and 25 days. He received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Expert Rifle Driver Badge. Bob was transferred to the United States Army Reserves on December 19, 1966 at Fort Hamilton, New York. He was later honorably discharged on January 4, 1971 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class. Bob was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Cole on May 6, 1967 at the Center Square Baptist Church in Center Square, Indiana. This happy union was blessed with two daughters, Amy and Sarah Beth. Bob and Pat shared over 54 wonderful years together. Bob was employed as a machinist for Seagram's Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for 40 years. He was a member of the Center Square Baptist Church in Center Square, Indiana. Bob enjoyed golfing with his friends and going on golf trips, hunting and raising a vegetable garden. Bob also enjoyed keeping a meticulous lawn and home. Bob passed away at 4:05 p.m., Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Mercy Health West in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" (Cole) Slack of East Enterprise, IN; his daughters, Amy Slack-Hoskins of Milton, KY and Sarah Beth Nibarger of Vevay, IN; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Alexandra "Liz" Nibarger of Florence, KY, Annalee Lorraine Hoskins of Milton, KY and Luken Robert Hoskins of Milton, KY; his brother, Fred Slack and his wife, Vivian of Hudson, FL and his several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert U. "Ben" Slack, died November 7, 1988 and Dorothy (Scudder) Slack, died November 10, 1976; his son, Robert Darin Slack, died February 7, 1971 and his sister, Annabelle S. "Ann" (Slack) Beckett, died January 4, 2015.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment and full military rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Vevay VFW Post #5396 in the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana.
