Obituary for Aldean Jividen (Scott)
Mrs. Aldean (Scott) Jividen, age 90, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on July 15, 1930 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Clinton Earl Scott, Sr. and Carrie Leo (Romans) Scott. She was raised in Madison and Vevay, Indiana and was a 1948 graduate of Vevay High School. Aldean was united in marriage on September 18, 1950 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana to the late, Loren Lee Jividen. This happy union was blessed with three daughters, Gloria, Anita and Cynthia and a son, Jeffrey. Aldean and Loren shared over 55 years of marriage together until he passed away on December 16, 2005. She was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana and also enjoyed cleaning homes in her spare time. Aldean was baptized on June 7, 1992 at Reily Baptist Church in Oxford, Ohio. She was a wonderful homemaker and will be deeply missed by her loving family. Aldean enjoyed walking, crafts, making bracelets, drawing, decorating and working in the yard. Every year she would plant zinnias from seed along her driveway. Aldean was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed making dolls, pillows and shirts for her family. Aldean passed away at 10:55 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2020, at her residence in Hamilton, Ohio.
Aldean will be missed by her daughters, Gloria "Kay" Baker of Okeana, OH and Anita Gay Rabe and her husband, Bobby of Vevay, IN; her son, Jeffrey Wayne Jividen of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Jon Edward Baker, Joseph Lee Baker, Lindsay Faye Platt, Whitney Deeanna Platt, Gina Kay Gipson and Scott Daniel Jones; her great-grandchildren, Rylan Baker, Gracii Clements, Bailee Northern, Skyelynn Platt, Wyatt Jones, Madison Jones, Logan Gipson and Tyler Gipson; her brother, Raymond "Butch" Scott and his wife, Shirley of Vevay, IN; her sister-in-law, Betty Scott of Merced, CA and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Earl Scott, Sr., died December 27, 1972 and Carrie Leo (Romans) Scott, died March 15, 1984; her husband, Loren Lee Jividen, died December 16, 2005; her daughter, Cynthia F. (Jividen) Jones, died November 13, 2018; her brothers, Nelson Wayne Scott, died December 3, 1992 and Clinton "Scotty" Scott, Jr., died December 26, 2016; her sisters, Patricia Ann "Patsey" Scudder, died February 10, 2008 and Carolyn Lou (Scott) Stevenson, died August 20, 2018; her sister-in-law, Lucille N. (Knaus) Scott, died November 3, 2011; her brother-in-law, Leslie "Lee" Scudder, died July 31, 2007; her nephew, Private Timothy G. Scudder, died February 23, 1977 and her nieces, Susan Lynn Scudder, died in 1953 and Debra Sue Hoyt, died July 19, 2000.
