Life Story for Anna Lavern Evans (Sanders)

Mrs. Anna Lavern (Sanders) Evans, age 64, of Warsaw, Kentucky, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 11, 1955, in La Grange, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late, Ralph and Lucille Love (Hanbaugh) Sanders. She was raised in Louisville, Kentucky where she attended school. Anna was united into marriage to James Lee Elzy. She was later united in marriage to Danny Lock and later to, Larry Evans. Anna was employed in laundry for Belterra Casino and Resort in Florence, Indiana, for five years and for the Ogle Haus in Vevay, Indiana as a laundry and room attendant for five years. Anna was also employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana. Anna resided in the Vevay, Indiana community and for the past 10 years in the Warsaw, Kentucky community. Anna enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and loved all animals. Anna passed away at 9:57 a.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, Kentucky.

Anna is survived by her son, Terry Elzy and his wife, Chrissy of Vevay, IN; her daughters, Vicki Holder of Warsaw, KY and Amber Elzy of Port St. Lucie, FL; her grandchildren, Tyler Elzy, Kaylee Elzy, Faith Watkins, Landon McDonald, Tyler Holder and Zak Holder and his wife, Olivia; her great-grandchildren, Delilah Elzy and Paislee Holder and her brothers, Donnie Sanders of Ghent, KY, Alvin Sanders of Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lucille Love (Hanbaugh) Sanders; her sisters, Bertha Jean "Bean" Massey and Louise Whitaker and her brother, Raymond Gene Sanders.

A Celebration of life will take place from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Terry Elzy's Residence, 112 Maple Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
