Bentley Dolby, loving paw son to Chris and Deanna Dolby of Florence, Indiana went home to doggie heaven at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2022. God gained a beautiful paw baby. He lost his long battle of pain, crying out when he needed us, and telling us time for his medication. We truly believe he had cancer, a mass on his brain. We never did the MRI, because we didn’t want to know. We wanted our time with him. He crossed on his own and we are so grateful we didn’t have to take him to the vet. He knew it was time and walked through our huge field of beautiful grass on a gorgeous day! He hasn’t been able to walk much, but he took off on his own. He got down by the two trees and looked back at us and was saying “See ya! I’m going home now, love you mom, dad and Millie. I’m gonna be fine heaven is waiting. I will always be your angel."

Hardest dang day ever. To watch him walk away has shattered us beyond words. When I seen my husband fall down, I knew he was gone. His little trail in the grass I still see it today. As I was running to him crying for him I knew he was running free. The gates opened and he crossed the rainbow bridge into a new pasture in heaven. When I felt the breeze I knew then he was FREE!

We just got home from vacation on Sunday, it was Millie’s first and Bentley’s last. He held off until he was home on the farm. He was so smart always. He had a big gentle loving heart. He loved everyone for sure. He was popular and loved by so many. Millie is so lost without him. It is going to be hard. I truly believe Millie was sent to us for this reason. He’s going to be so missed, our home is lost without him.

He leaves behind so many people that loved him. Someone always asked about Mr. B daily. Our hearts are simply shattered. Our life and our home has forever been changed. He will be laid to rest nicely and protected here on the farm. His safe place.

Rest easy my sweet Son, Mommy, Daddy and Millie love you forever. Thank you for the best life you gave us! Your unconditional love and support will remain in our hearts always. You're truly our best friend. Until we meet again Son, please look over us and Mil Mil.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the Dolby Farm Residence, 13502 Beatty Ridge Road, Florence, Indiana 47020.

Burial rites will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the Dolby Farm Residence.
