Mrs. Brenda Lee Murphy-Sigmon, age 48, of Fairview, Indiana, entered this life on October 13, 1971, in Putnam, Connecticut. She was the loving daughter of the late, Darrell Wayne Murphy, Sr. and Wanda Ruth (Hershman) Murphy. She was raised in Sterling, Connecticut where she was a 1989 graduate of the Sterling High School. Brenda was united in marriage on August 8, 2009, in Taylor County, West Virginia, to the late, Dennis Lynn "Denny" Sigmon. Brenda and Denny shared 18 years together until he passed away on February 24, 2017. In 2001, Brenda received her associates degree in accounting from Ivy Tech. She was a former employee for Multiple Machining in Dillsboro, Indiana, for 13 years. Brenda was employed as an accountant for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana, for two years. Brenda enjoyed bird watching, gardening, reading Stephen King novels and her dogs. Brenda passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at her home in Fairview, Indiana.

Brenda will be missed by her loving daughter, Amanda Estell Davis of Fairview, IN; her brother, Darrell Murphy, Jr. and his wife, Theresa of Lawrenceburg, IN and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Wayne Murphy, Sr.; her mother, Wanda Ruth (Hershman) Murphy; her husband, Dennis Lynn "Denny" Sigmon and her sister, Debra Murphy.
