Condolences

Condolence From: Sara Forthman
Condolence: I always feel so far away when I get the news of someone passing away from home. I am so sorry to hear of Bruce's passing Sunday morning. I had brought a card to work to send to Bruce when I heard he was in the hospital, and I apologize that it did not get there. Sending a big hug to his family and friends that he leaves behind, I know he will be greatly missed by all.
When we were all growing up and going to school in Vevay, Bruce, Paul, Kevin, George, Deano, Ricky, and all the other guys sat near the back, we were all scattered throughout the bus. And I remember Bruce could scream like one of us girls and scare the crud out of Doug, and he would look up in that mirror and call one of us girls to come sit up front for screaming. I don't think Doug ever caught on that it was Bruce Bennett screaming like a girl.
I also remember in the grade school, Bruce dropped his pencil out the window on the ledge, and he got stuck in the tip out window, trying to get it. The teacher had to get him back inside.
We were all very blessed to have grown up so close together in a small town. But when there is a loss, we all hurt and pray for one another.
Lots of memories have come to mind since Bruce's passing and the majority of them brought a smile or a laugh. I wouldn't have changed a thing about growing up with such great friends.
We are all adults now, for the most part and many have suffered greatly. In Heaven, there is none of that going on, and knowing that is a great comfort. They say time is not an issue either, they will turn around and we will all be there, in the presents of God.
Here on earth, the hurt continues. LuAnn, I pray for you and your children, family and friends in the days to come, hang on to your precious memories and hold on to God's hand, He will take care of you. God bless you all.

Condolence From: William Gilmore
Condolence: My condolences to the Bennett families I'm sorry to hear about the untimely loss of dear Bruce. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.
