Obituary for Carol Dean Springer (Toole)

Ms. Carol Dean (Toole) Springer, age 89, of Mt. Sterling, Indiana, entered this life on March 28, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the loving daughter of the late, Garland Hugh and Gertrude Virginia (Edwards) Toole. She was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended high school. Carol was united in marriage on October 3, 1951, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to the late Donald Springer. This happy union was blessed with four daughters and seven sons. Carol was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, retiring after nine years of service. She was a member of the Plum Creek Baptist Church and had resided in the Switzerland County community since 1972. Carol enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol passed away at 3:47 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Carol will be missed by her sons, Gary Springer and his wife, Sharon of Lamb, IN, Donald Timothy Springer of Vevay, IN, Kenny Springer of Vevay, IN, Thomas Springer of Vevay, IN, Douglas Springer and his wife, Bev of Osgood, IN, Phillip Springer and his wife, Robin of Vevay, IN and Joseph Springer and his wife, Gwen of North Vernon, IN; her daughters, Donna Jo Nelson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rebecca Carol Meyer of Vevay, IN, Colleen Cox and her husband, James of Cincinnati, OH and Deborah Springer of Vevay, IN; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan Ellen Lee of Georgetown, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland Hugh and Gertrude Virginia (Edwards) Toole; her brothers, Larry and Jerry Toole and her sister, Roselyn Munson.

Friends may call 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2019, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 15, 2019, at 12:00 p.m., by Rev. Mike Jones at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
