Obituary for Clarence Hunt
Mr. Clarence Hunt, age 85, of Switzerland County, Indiana, and the son of the late, Purda Hunt, Sr. and Avrilla Beatrice (Kidd) Hunt was born on April 21, 1937 in Patriot, Indiana. He was raised in Switzerland County and was a 1956 graduate of the Patriot High School. On September 6, 1958, he was united in marriage to Ramona Bosaw in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. This union of over 64 years was blessed with four children, Kenneth, Paul, Michael and Melissa. He was employed for Chevrolet in Norwood, Ohio for one year. Clarence was employed for over 35 years as a machine operator for Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, Ohio, retiring in March 1994. He enjoyed farming, riding and pulling horses, as well as, taking his family and friends on wagon rides. Clarence also loved baseball and basketball and working with the Amish. Clarence was a faithful member of the Switzerland Baptist Church in Vevay, Indiana. Clarence passed away at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his residence.
His life will be cherished by his wife: Ramona (Bosaw) Hunt of Switzerland County, IN; his sons: Kenneth Wayne Hunt and his wife, Gwen of Goshen, OH and Paul Steven Hunt of Cincinnati, OH; his daughter: Melissa June Hunt of Mason, OH; his grandchildren: Steve (Becky), Josh, Tyler, Christopher and Jeremy; his great-grandchildren: Steven Jr., Jaxson, Grayson, Aiden, Leo, Teddy and Jackson; his sisters: Ora Lee Schwade of Seymour, IN, Emma June Agnew of Lodi, CA and Ann Combs of Deerfield, KS and his numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lee Hunt, died March 30, 2016; his parents: Purda Hunt, Sr. and Avrilla Beatrice (Kidd) Hunt; his brothers: Miles Frederick "Fred" Hunt, William Douglas "Doug" Hunt, Ernest Hunt, J.W. Hunt, Walter Hunt, Burnie Hunt and Purda "Purdy" Hunt, Jr. and his sister: Mary Frances Brown.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023, by Rev. Lenny Thorpe, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison, Indiana.
