Obituary for Cynthia Marie "Cindy" Massong

Cynthia Marie "Cindy" Massong, age 54, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on December 7, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of George Stanley Massong whom preceded her in death and Betty Jean (Davis) Massong. She was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Colerain High School. Cindy met the love of her life, Ernest Carl "Ernie" Chase in 2002 and they spent nearly 20 years together. Cindy was employed as a waitress for AJ's Diner in Vevay, Indiana for six months and for Jack's Place in Rising Sun, Indiana for one year. She was later employed as a manager for White Castle in Cincinnati, Ohio for three years. Cindy was also employed as a dishwasher for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana for two years. Cindy resided in the Switzerland County community since 1993. She loved watching TV, especially Lifetime movies, Dr. Phil, Big Brother and Survivor. Cindy was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, drawing, dancing and going to the casino. Cindy unexpectedly passed away at 6:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her residence.

Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her companion, Ernest Carl "Ernie" Chase of East Enterprise, IN; her children, Crystal Lynn Haas and her fiancé, Robbie McKenzie of Madison, IN, Michael Haas and his companion, Ashtyn Haggard of Madison, IN and Kami Jo Haas and her companion, Michael Wilson of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Noah McAlister, Carter McKenzie, Jordyn Turner, Connor McKenzie, Lincoln Haas and Robert Ethan McKenzie; her mother, Betty Jean (Davis) Massong of Aberdeen, IN; her brothers, Gary Marcum of Cincinnati, OH, Jimmy Marcum of Aberdeen, IN and George Massong and his wife, Tracey of Elsmere, KY and her several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Stanley Massong; her sisters, Kathy Massong and Crystal Marcum; her brothers, Jack and Greg Marcum and her grandparents, June Davis and Grandma Shaver.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., by Bro. Anthony Wilks, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
