Mr. David Edward Sharp, age 83, of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on June 19, 1938 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late Eddie Albert and Pearline Inez Sharp. His family moved to Anderson, Indiana where he attended school. David was inducted into the United States Army on April 5, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received the Good Conduct Medal and was honorable discharged with the rank of Private First Class on March 31, 1962 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. David later moved to Daleville, Indiana and was self-employed as a mechanical contractor. He later moved to Muncie, Indiana where he owned and operated Nickel Sharp Enterprises, retiring after several years of service. In 2008, David moved to the Switzerland County community where he resided until his death. David enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing, and his antique business. David passed away 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

David is survived by his sons, Mark Allen Sharp and his wife, Lisa of Madison, IN, Douglas Edward Sharp of Dallas, TX and Michael Todd Sharp of Houston, TX; his four-grandchildren; his several great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty June Kellow of Daleville, IN and his brother, James Donald Sharp and his wife, Betty Ruth of Murfreesboro, TN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Albert Sharp; his mother, Pearline Inez Sharp; his sister, Marcia Reed and his brothers, Richard Allan Sharp, Sr. and Bobby Earl Sharp.
