Obituary for Donald Allen Rassman

Mr. Donald Allen Rassman, age 77, of Carrollton, Kentucky, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on June 6, 1944 in Madison, Indiana. He was the son of the late, William Ernest and Mary Elsie (Fitzhugh) Rassman. He was raised in Warsaw and Carrollton, Kentucky where he was a 1963 graduate of the Carroll County High School. Donald was united in marriage to Marilyn Tingle on January 3, 1963 in Bedford, Kentucky. He was later united in marriage on December 1, 1986 in Warsaw, Kentucky, to Evelina Mae "Evie" Sebree. Donald and Evie shared nearly 30 years of marriage together until she passed away on June 16, 2016. Donald was a former mechanic for the Indiana Department of Transportation for 13 years. He was also employed as a welder for National Lighting Standards in Louisville, Kentucky for 28 years. He was also employed for NAPA as a delivery parts driver for several years. Donald also delivered the Kentucky Post Newspaper in Carrollton, Kentucky for two years. On Sundays, he worked for Reynolds Shells, Gene's Golf and Wilhoite's Texaco in Carrollton, Kentucky for several years. He was a member of the Shelby Christian Church in Ripley County, Indiana. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton, Kentucky and the National Rifle Association. Donald enjoyed stockcar races, collecting knives, bowling, mud volleyball, as well as, spending time with his family and attending church. Donald passed away at 7:13 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2021, at the Baptist Hospital in La Grange, Kentucky.

Donald's life will be cherished by his children, Donald Allen Rassman, Jr. and his wife, Tonya, Norman Rassman and his companion, Caroline Glacken and Joey Rassman all of Carrollton, KY; his step-children, Terry Minch of Indianapolis, IN, Lisa Burk and her husband, Brad of Vevay, IN and Keith Minch and his wife, Siobhan of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Bradlee, Braden, Ciaran, Aidan, Malread, Eamonn, Shauna, Kendra, Heather, Zach, Austin and Kayla and his 13-great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kayden, Gunner, Brody, Brooklynn, Jersey, Madison, Addalynn, Kamdyn, Forrest, Liam, Kenyah and Braylon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelina Mae "Evie" (Sebree) Rassman; his parents, William Ernest and Mary Elsie (Fitzhugh) Rassman; his brothers, Alvin, Joe, Glenn and James Rassman and his sisters, Dorothy Dorrell, Myrtle DeMoss, Estelle Feldhaus and Ethel Jane Plummer.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison, Indiana.
