Obituary for Doris Lynn Heath

Miss Doris Lynn Heath, age 61, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on January 14, 1959 in Madison, Indiana. She was one of the triplets born to the parents of James David and Virginia M. (Martin) Heath, whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a 1977 graduate of Switzerland County High School. Doris received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Doris was employed for the Waters of Clifty in Madison, Indiana for eight months. In 1982, Doris was employed for King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana in the intensive care unit until 2012. She was later employed for Hanover Nursing Center in Hanover, Indiana from 2012 - 2013. Doris was currently employed as a registered nurse for Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana since July 15, 2013. Doris attended Mt. Sterling Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, Indiana and was a member of the Moose Lodge 765 of Madison, Indiana. Doris enjoyed playing bingo, selling Mary Kay, shopping, cooking and spending time with her cats. Doris passed away at 9:05 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at her residence in Madison, Indiana.

Doris will be missed by her sister, Diane Johnson and her husband, Dale of Colorado Springs, CO; her brothers, Donald Heath of Louisville, KY and Martin Heath of Raleigh, NC; her nieces and nephew, Erin, Victoria, Holly and Karl; her great-nephews, Elijah and Jack; her best friend and her family, Linda Wood and her husband, Don of Hanover, IN and her numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James David Heath, died January 18, 1980 and Virginia M. (Martin) Heath, died August 17, 1995.

Friends may call 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2020, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 2, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., by Bro. Jeremiah Haynes at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
