Dr. Fidelia "Del" (Ocampo) Valenzuela, age 83, passed away at 1:40 a.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Morrison Woods Health Campus in Muncie, Indiana. She was born in Manila, the Philippines in 1935. She was a graduate of St Theresa’s College and University of Santo Thomas Medical School. She practiced Ob-Gyn in the Philippines and Fordham Hospital in New York City. She then practiced family medicine in Vevay from 1969 until her retirement in the late 1990s. Del loved cooking, gardening, playing the piano, crocheting, and visiting with her neighbors. As one of the local doctors for so many years, she was well known throughout the community and will be missed by many people.

Dr. Valenzuela, Del to her friends, was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Diego Castro Valenzuela, Sr., died March 17, 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Noeline Gullion and her husband, Darin of Muncie, Indiana; her son, Vincent Valenzuela and his wife, Bryne of Miramar, Florida; her grandchildren, Maddie, Anthony, Zachary and Waiverly; her two sisters; her two brothers; and many nieces and nephews in the Philippines, the United States, and around the world.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the funeral home.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
