Obituary for Ella Mae Goings (Earls)
Ella Mae (Earls) Goings, age 85, of Patriot, Indiana, passed away 9:20 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Highpoint Health in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Ella entered this life on October 9, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late, John David and Lena Marie (Meyers) Earls. Ella was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended school. Ella was employed in housekeeping for various hotels and was a waitress in Billings, Montana. She also helped pick apples in Tacoma, Washington to Billings, Montana. Ella was also a manager for an apartment building in Billings, Montana. Ella enjoyed listening to music, watching soap operas and dancing.
Ella is survived by her children, Teddy "TJ" Staggs, Annie Morrow, George Staggs, Teresa Staggs and Tina Staggs; her 17-grandchildren; her 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Eileen Miracle of Patriot, IN; her brother, James Earls and his wife, Pam of Lebanon, OH; her niece and caregiver, Teresa Earls of Patriot, IN and her other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John David Earls and Lena Marie (Meyers) Earls; her daughters, Lisa Staggs and Vickie Staggs; her brothers and sisters, Norman Earls, John David Earls, Albert Earls, Loretta Teal, Margaret Busch, Geneva Earls, Patricia "Pat" Bohannon.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
