Obituary for Eula Faye Butler (Booker)
Mrs. Eula Faye (Booker) Butler, age 59, of Moorefield, Indiana, entered this life on April 22, 1961 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Raymond Harrison, whom preceded her in death and Inez Lorene (McMackin) Booker of Moorefield, Indiana. She attended Madison Consolidated High School and received her diploma from Stratford University. Eula was united in marriage to Shan Dale Butler on August 3, 1991 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Eula was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory and Swiss Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana. She was a former production associate for Grote Industries in Madison, Indiana, retiring in 2000 after 13 years of service. Eula was a member of the Switzerland County Community Church and the Humane Society. Eula loved horses, dogs and cats and enjoyed mushroom and arrowhead hunting. Eula was found deceased at 5:13 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2021, her residence.
Eula is survived by her husband, Shan Dale Butler of Moorefield, IN; her sons, Jason Rook of Cross Plains, IN and Andrew Peelman and his husband, Daryl of Cross Plains, IN; her grandchildren, Kenneth Rook, Sebastian Rook and Ashtyn Peelman; her mother, Inez Lorene (McMackin) Booker of Moorefield, IN; her brother, SSG Charles Raymond Booker and his wife, Brenda "Shorty" of Madison, IN; her sister, Alice Powell of Madison, IN; her nephews, Jeremy Stevens, Jarrid Stevens, Kaleb Booker and Keith Briner and her several great-nieces and great- nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Harrison Booker; her maternal-grandparents, Charles L. and Dorothy Alice (Elston) McMackin; her paternal-grandparents, Caleb and Eula Mae Booher; her granddaughters, Ava Kay and Alivia Fay Peelman; her infant sister, Rae Ann Booker; her infant brother, Kenneth Lee Booker; her nephew, Sergeant Kenneth Raymond Booker and her brother-in-law, Darrell Powell.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., by Pastor Charles Dayadharum, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
