Obituary for Faye Snyder (Sides)

Mrs. Faye (Sides) Snyder, age 83, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on November 19, 1936 in Vevay, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late James Ira Cross and Edith (Montanye) Sides. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a 1955 graduate of Vevay High School. Faye was united in marriage on May 5, 1962 at the Cross Plains United Methodist Church to Ronald Lee Snyder. This happy union was blessed with a son, Scott and a daughter, Rhonda. Faye and Ronald shared over 58 years of marriage together until her death. Faye was employed as an Emergency Medical Technician and Advanced Life Support for Perry County Ambulance Service for 14 years. She resided in Tell City, Indiana for 38 years and later moved back to the Vevay community in 1998 where she resided until her passing. She was a member of the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church and the YMCA in Vevay, Indiana. Faye enjoyed bowling, toll painting, knitting, sewing and watching IU basketball. Faye passed away at 6:58 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2020, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Faye will be missed by her husband, Ronald Lee Snyder of Vevay, IN; her son, Scott Snyder of Vevay, IN; her daughter, Rhonda Wehrenberg and her husband, Don of Pensacola, FL; her grandson, Nick Wehrenberg of Pensacola, FL; her sisters, Jane Stewart of Commiskey, IN, Sue Turner of Vevay, IN and Mary Sides of Vevay, IN; her brothers, John Sides of Versailles, IN and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ira Cross and Edith (Montanye) Sides, her sisters, Louise Arnold, Eleanor Ford, Sarah Polk and Ruthie Taylor and her brothers, Fred Sides and Don Sides.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
