Obituary for Fred Layman Patrick Jr.

Mr. Fred Layman Patrick Jr., age 73, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 26, 1946, in Harrison, Ohio. He was the son of the late, Fred Layman Patrick, Sr. and Georgia May (Lewis) Patrick. Fred was raised in Harrison, Ohio where he attended high school. Fred was inducted into the United States Army on September 6, 1967 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He received the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class on October 4, 1968, at Fort Benjamin in Harrison, Indiana. Fred was united in marriage on August 19, 1967, in Harrison, Ohio, to Violet Fultz. Fred and Violet shared 52 years of marriage together until his death. Fred was a truck driver for various trucking companies for 50 years. He was currently employed for Highway Transport in Florence, Kentucky. Fred was a former member of the Switzerland Masonic Lodge #122 F&AM. Fred will be lovingly remembered for his strong work ethic and enjoyed tending to his pool and mowing his yard. Fred passed away at 4:35 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019, at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Fred will be missed by his loving wife, Violet (Fultz) Patrick of Vevay, IN; his children, Dan Patrick and his wife, Cyndi of Elyria, OH, Leah Patrick of IN, Tony Fultz and his wife, Shannon of Midville, GA, Tammy Patrick and her husband, Tony Jackson of Vevay, IN, Fred Patrick and his wife, Melissa of Vevay, IN and Marie Brenneman and her husband, James of Sunman, IN; his 19-grandchildren; his several-great-grandchildren; his sister, Diane Snyder of New Trenton, IN; his brothers, Ray Patrick and his wife, Lynn of West Chester, OH and Larry Patrick and his wife, Julie of Delhi, OH and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Layman Patrick, Sr. and Georgia May (Lewis) Patrick and his sister, Shirley Mae Fultz.
