Mr. Fred Wayne Penick, age 66, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on September 25, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of the late Luther Aaron and Florence A. (Vice) Penick. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1972 graduate of Switzerland County High School. Fred was employed as a barback for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana for seven years and for Grand Victoria Casino & Resort in Rising Sun, Indiana for three years. Fred resided in Clearwater, Florida from 1981-1989 and later moved back to the Vevay community where he resided until his passing. Fred enjoyed walking around Vevay with his furry companion Whiskers, telling stories and shooting pool. Fred was found deceased on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at his residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Fred is survived by his brother, Keith Lee Penick and his wife, Mickey of East Enterprise, IN; his sisters, Sundra (Penick) Whitham and her husband, Floyd of Vevay, IN, Leona Sue Penick of Erlanger, KY and Carol (Penick) Bridgwater of Vevay, IN; his several nieces and nephews and abundance of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Aaron Penick, died December 28, 2001 and Florence A. (Vice) Penick, died December 9, 2002; his brother, Luther Allen "Butch" Penick, Jr., died March 7, 2010; his niece, Rachel Ann Penick, died May 9, 1993 and his sister-in-law, Pearl Ann (Anderson) Penick, died April 8, 2008.

Due to COVID-19, masks are required along with social distancing. Graveside Services will be conducted Monday, October 19, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Casey Banta at the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana.
