Obituary for Gary Wayne Roberts

Mr. Gary Wayne Roberts, age 68, of Brookville, Indiana, formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, entered this life on August 10, 1953 in Hazard, Kentucky. He was the loving son of the late, Farmer Roberts Sr. and Joyce (Howard) Roberts. Gary attended Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ohio. He was a machinist at Cincinnati Testing Labs (CTL) in Cincinnati, Ohio for 37 years. Little did Gary know when he started at CTL he would have a great career with the company, but also have an extended family he loved dearly. On April 1, 1977, Gary married the love of his life, Roberta "Bobbie" Lovins at their home in Hamilton, Ohio. This happy union was blessed with three children, Chris, Brad, and Brandi. Gary spent most of his time with his family and his grandchildren which was his whole world. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, going to the casino, playing cards, wood working, and fixing things.

Gary will be missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Roberts of Brookville, IN; two sons, Chris Lovins of Hamilton, OH, Brad (Misty) Roberts of Hamilton, OH; daughter, Brandi (Corey) Finch of Brookville, IN; special son, Mark (January) Williams of Hamilton, OH; grandchildren, Casey, Tasha, Rylee, Morgan, Cody, Ryan, Cameron, and Connor; 5 great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Hannah, Reghan, and Izich; special grandchildren, Zach "DJ" Parkhurst, Joyce, Scott, and Erica Williams; sister, Jackie Gill of Hamilton, OH; two brothers, James "Jim" (Tresa) Roberts of Hamilton, OH, Farmer Roberts, Jr. of Summan, IN; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Farmer Roberts, Sr. and Joyce (Howard) Roberts, sister, Carol (Cliff) Hare, brother-in-law, Eldon Gill.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 11:00 am, at the Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street Brookville, Indiana 47012.

Interment will follow in the Sims Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.

Friends may call 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home.
