Obituary for Geneva L. Green (Tucker)
Mrs. Geneva L. (Tucker) Green, age 93, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on December 25, 1928 in Vevay, Indiana. She was born to the parents of George Dewey and Muriel (Romans) Tucker and was raised in Vevay, Indiana. Geneva graduated in 1947 from the Vevay High School. Geneva was united in marriage on December 24, 1947 in Madison, Indiana to Earl J. Green. This happy union of nearly 50 years was blessed with four daughters, Sonya, Sharon, Karen and Phyllis. She was employed for Seagram's and Schenley Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Geneva was later employed as a stitcher for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, retiring in 1991 after 40 years of service. Geneva enjoyed traveling, making Sunday dinners for her family and watching hummingbirds. Geneva passed away at 11:47 a.m,, Tuesday February 15, 2022, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.
Geneva will be missed by her children, Sharon McClure of Pleasant, IN, Karen Green of Vevay, IN and Phyllis Chase and her husband, Dennis of Florence, IN; her grandchildren, Colen, Tonya, Marietta and Ashley; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Chelsey, Brandon and Wyatt; her sister, Sue Armstrong of Greensburg, IN; her brother, Kenny Tucker of Vevay, IN; her sister-in-law, Kathy Tucker of Vevay, IN and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey Tucker and Muriel (Romans) Tucker; her husband, Earl J. Green, died June 26, 1997; her daughter, Sonya White, died May 14, 2019; her brothers, Donald and Ralph Tucker; her sons-in-law, Cliff White and Nelson Wayne McClure; her grandson-in-law, Donald Ray "Donnie" Hon, Jr.; her brother-in-law, Duane Armstrong; her niece, Adianna Armstrong and her nephews, Shawn Armstrong and Brian Tucker.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted by Bro, Ronald Romans at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
