Obituary for James Junior "Jim" Clark

Mr. James Junior "Jim" Clark, age 92, of Hanover and Florence, Indiana, formerly of Lincoln, Illinois, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana. Jim entered this life on April 13, 1928 in Marceline, Missouri, the son of the late Elmer and Elma (Sennett) Clark. He was raised on a stock and grain farm near New Cambria, Missouri. He moved to Lincoln, Illinois in 1956. Jim attended Lincoln Bible Institute where he met his sweetheart Suzanne Mary Beauchamp. They were united in marriage on June 4, 1966 at the Lincoln Christian Church in Lincoln, Illinois. This happy union was blessed with two daughters, Betty and Barb. Jim and Suzanne shared over 54 years of marriage together until his death. Jim worked as a custodian at Washington-Monroe Elementary School for 28 years and later worked part-time for the school district until age 80. He did maintenance work, such as plumbing, painting, and carpentry for over 50 years. He was a charter member of Jefferson Street Christian Church and worked on all of the church buildings. You might say Jim was a jack of all trades, master of none, but that wouldn't be true. He was a master at being a witness for Jesus Christ. Whatever work he did for anyone, he did as if he were working for the Lord. He carried the message of Christ in all that he did, every day. He gave when others wouldn't because he hoped that it might turn a life around and to show the love of Jesus Christ. Although his life on earth was humble, he will have many treasures in Heaven.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Suzanne Mary (Beauchamp) Clark of Hanover, IN; his daughters, Betty Chatham and her husband, Jerry of Florence, IN and Barb Rexroat and her husband, Darin of Mackinaw, Illinois; his grandchildren, Cory (Jodie) Stancle of Lincoln, IL, Nate Stancle of Lincoln, IL, Michael (Beauchamp) Stancle of Decatur, IL, Lilly Chatham of Florence, IN and Rachel Chatham of Indianapolis, IN; his great-grandchildren, Maliah Stancle, Cali Stancle, Cory Stancle, Chloe Stancle and Jayden Stancle; his sisters, Betty Wise of Puyallup, WA, Barbara Houghton and her husband, William of Macon, MO and Wilma Gladback of Marceline, MO; his brother, Wendell Clark and his wife, Linda of New Cambria, MO and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Elma (Sennett) Clark and his brother, William Gene Clark.
