Mr. Jerrold Lynn "Jerry" Golay, age 70, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 6, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was raised in Mooresville, Indiana where he attended school. Jerry owned and operated his flooring business in Indianapolis, Indiana for several years. Jerry was united in marriage to Ida Suzanne Miller on July 16, 2018 in Vevay, Indiana. Jerry resided in the Vevay community since 2007. He was a member of the Switzerland County Historical Society and enjoyed genealogy and working on his family history. Jerry was a descendent of the original families that founded Vevay, Indiana. Jerry enjoyed mushroom hunting, singing and fishing and was a wonderful poet and writer. Jerry passed away at 2:31 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his home, in his wife's arms. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him, always and forever.

Jerry is dearly loved and missed by his wife, Ida Suzanne (Miller) Golay of Vevay, IN; his brothers, Dwayne, Phil, Lawrence and Gary Golay all of Indiana; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Harold Turner and his wife, Laura.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Violet (Burton) Golay; his paternal-grandparents, Elisha Daniel and Susanne (Dufour) Golay and his sister, Sharlene Lamb.

Interment will be held in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023.

A Celebration of Life Always & Forever Gathering will be held 2-4 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Venoge, 4085 Highway 129, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
