Mrs. Marcy Lee (Sorah) Simerly, age 63, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 7, 1958 in Marion, Indiana. She was the daughter of Munsey Lee "Mutt" Sorah, whom preceded her in death and Dale A. (Richards) Sorah. She was raised in Marion, Indiana where she attended Marion High School. Marcy was united in marriage on May 6, 1989 in Straughn, Indiana to Daniel R. "Dan" Simerly. This happy blended family was blessed with five children. Marcy and Dan shared over 32 years of marriage together until her death. She owned and operated a pet shop in New Castle, Indiana for two years. Marcy later was employed for the National Machinery & Conveyor in Marion, Indiana for 12 years. Marcy resided in Marion, Indiana for several years before moving to the Vevay community on Mennetts Hollow Road where she resided for the past four years. Marcy enjoyed designing vinyl t-shirts and raising birds. Marcy passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at her residence.

Marcy is survived by her husband, Daniel R. "Dan" Simerly of Vevay, IN; her children, Danny Ray Simerly of New Castle, IN, Josh Clifton and his wife, Angie of Marion, IN, Shawn Morgan and his wife, Chrissy of Marion, IN, Tara Blankenship of New Castle, IN and Josh Simerly and his wife, Dusti of New Castle, IN; her 10-grandchildren; her mother, Dale A. (Richards) Sorah of Sparta, TN and her brothers, Chris Sorah and his wife, Angie of Muncie, IN and Tim Sorah of Marion, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Munsey Lee "Mutt" Sorah and her sister, Angie Cummins.
