Obituary for Mary Kathryn Wiley (Morrison)
Mrs. Mary Kathryn Morrison Wiley, daughter of William H. Morrison and Martha Ramseyer Morrison was born on July 20, 1922 at Mt. Sterling, Indiana. She was 99 at the time of her passing to heaven. She passed on October 1, 2021 in Brentwood, California at her son's home. She was a graduate of Vevay High School and Sandersons Business School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mary was employed at the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service Office in Vevay and then by the State of Indiana in the Accounting Department of the Indiana Employment Security Division in Indianapolis. She was an Accountant at Maremont Automotive in Chicago from 1945 to 1946. In 1952, she was employed by the First National Bank in Vevay and retired in 1985 as Vice President and Trust Officer. On St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1948 Mary married James Melval "Bill" Wiley. Mary became a member of the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church, August 1939. She had a great love of music, reading, crosswords and did fine embroidery, crocheting and quilting.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents in 1964 and 1974; her sister, Eva Willa Curnett in 1995; her son, Randall on October 18, 2001 and her husband on January 1, 2004.
She is survived by her son, James Steven Wiley and his wife, Patricia; her three granddaughters, Angela K. Rockwood and her husband, Kevin, Kimberly A. Del Favero and her husband, James and Kathryn W. Crain and her husband, Jeremy; her three grandsons, Robert W. Wiley, Randall Mathew Wiley and his wife, Cynthia and James J. Wiley and his wife, Dorothy; Also four great-grandsons, Robert, Blaine, Rowan and Cameron; her great-granddaughter, Jacqueline; her two nieces, nephew and daughter-in-law, Irene Wiley.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
