Obituary for Patsy Lou Kester (Wolfe)

Mrs. Patsy Lou (Wolfe) Kester, age 86, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on November 18, 1935 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Galen B. and Flossie Faye (Ulrey) Wolfe. She was raised in Kosciusko County, Indiana and was a 1953 graduate of Sidney High School. Patsy was united in marriage on August 28, 1954 to Max Wesley Kester in Kosciusko County, Indiana. This happy union of nearly 44 years was blessed with two sons, David and Terry and a daughter, Polly. Patsy was a substitute teacher for Sidney High School at the young age of 18. Patsy was later employed as a clerk for Rexall Drug Store in North Manchester, Indiana for several years. She was also employed for a greenhouse in North Manchester, Indiana for several years. Patsy was later employed for S&T Company in Louisville, Kentucky for three years. Patsy's family built with hand fired bricks the Eel River Church of the Brethren in Kosciusko County, Indiana, where she was a member and was baptized. Patsy was a direct descendent of King Charles Stuart, II. granddaughter, Katherine Stuart Thompson. The Kester family moved to the Switzerland County community in 1982 and later moved to Jefferson County, Indiana in 1997. She enjoyed gardening, reading, learning family history, as well as, antiquing, cooking and bird watching. Patsy passed away at 4:58 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Patsy is survived by her sons, David C. Kester of Vevay, IN and Terry L. Kester of Tallahassee, FL; her daughter, Polly L. Kester of Dupont, IN and her several nieces and nephews. .

She was preceded in death by her parents, Galen B. and Flossie Faye (Ulrey) Wolfe; her husband, Max Wesley Kester, died May 22, 1998; her brothers, Galen Wolfe, Jr., John Wolfe and David Stanley Wolfe and her sister, Joy Feist.

Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services were conducted at 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment was held in the Brooksburg Cemetery in Brooksburg, Indiana.
