Obituary for Phillip Edward "Eddie" Cunningham
Mr. Phillip Edward "Eddie" Cunningham, age 63, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on November 10, 1957 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was the son of the late, Tommy Cunningham and James and Geneva Faye (Cunningham) O'Connor. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and attended the Patriot School System. Early in life, Eddie worked for Chet James Farms in Switzerland County for several years. He also was employed for REC Enterprises in Florence, Indiana for several years. Eddie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, as well as, socializing and driving around town. Eddie passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at his residence.
Eddie is survived by his sons, Clayton Carter and his wife, Emily of Aurora, IN and Nicholas Carter and his wife, Edna of Walton, KY; his daughter, Logan Roberts and her husband, Vern of Versailles, IN; his grandchildren, Nicholas "Nicky" Carter, Joseph Carter, Cassidy Carter, Heather Race, Jacob Carter, Emma Carter, Earl Carter, Olivia Carter and Sophia Carter; his brothers, Robert Eugene Cunningham of Vevay, IN and Joe O'Connor of Patriot, IN; his sister, Teressa Durbin and her husband, Blake of Carrollton, Kentucky and his several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Tommy Cunningham; his mother, Geneva Faye (Cunningham) O'Connor; his father who raised him, James O'Connor; his brothers, Ronnie Dale Cunningham, Russell H. "Rusty" Morrison, Kevin O'Connor and James Allen "Little Jimmy" O'Connor and his sister, Francis Lane O'Connor.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., by Rev. Mike Jones at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
