Mrs. Ruth Sharon (McClure) Hammons Stoops, age 77, of East Enterprise, Indiana, died at 6:15p.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2019 at her home. She was born on April 6, 1942 in Bedford, Kentucky to the late, Howard and LaVerne Joyce (Ogden) McClure. Ruth was united in marriage on March 5, 1977, in Rising Sun, Indiana to Arthur Leroy Stoops. She was employed for the Plastic Molding Factory in East Enterprise, Indiana and other various employments. Ruth retired from Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana. Ruth enjoyed keeping a meticulous lawn and flowers and enjoyed people. She always saw the good in everyone and never met a stranger. We love you and will miss you and will totally be lost without you until we meet again...

Ruth will be missed by her husband of 42 years, Arthur Leroy Stoops of East Enterprise, IN; her daughters, Debbie Gulley and her companion, John Melton of Rising Sun, IN and Patty Hammons of Madison, IN; her sons, Doug and Jim Hammons of Madison, IN; her step sons, Arthur Wayne Stoops and his wife, Dena of Carrollton, KY and Anthony Stoops of Moores Hill, IN; her granddaughter, Stephanie Gulley of Carrollton, KY; her 3-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hope and Conner; her several other grandchildren of Madison, IN; her sisters, Linda Bolden and her husband, Jerry of Vevay, IN, Sherry Hammons and her husband, Allen of Lexington, IN and Nancy Buress of Hanover, IN and her brother, Joe McClure and his wife, Gayla of Greensburg, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and LaVerne Joyce (Ogden) McClure; her sisters, Barbara Lee McClure, Louise Matthew and Darlene Wilcox and her brother, Wilson McClure.

Private family services will be held.

Interment will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana
