Life Story for Sandra Sue "Tootie" Leap (Reed)
Mrs. Sandra Sue "Tootie" (Reed) Leap, age 71, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on October 10, 1947, in Madison, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, David and Rebecca Jane "Becky" (Wolf) Reed. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana, where she was a 1966 graduate of the Vevay High School. She attended classes at IU Southeast in New Albany, Indiana, for education for three years. Tootie was united in marriage on March 31, 2001, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, to John Charles Leap. Tootie and John shared 18 loving years of marriage together until her death. Tootie was employed as a bank teller for Peoples Trust Company in Vevay, Indiana, from 1990 - 1997. Tootie owned and operated Tootie's Daycare in Vevay, Indiana, since 1997. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Kentucky, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Tootie enjoyed hiking, camping and monster trucks, but most of all, she was a devoted Elvis Presley fan. Tootie passed away with her loving family by her side at 8:23 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.
Tootie will be lovingly rememebered by her husband, John Charles Leap of Vevay, IN; her children, Robert Konkle of Worthville, KY, Angela Brockman of Cincinnati, OH and Jerry Girton and his wife, Tina of Vevay, IN; her step-sons, Charles Anthony Leap of Spencer, MA and Billy Joe Leap and his wife, Lori of Williamstown, KY; her grandchildren, Ryan Konkle, Brittany Knox and her husband, Zack, Brooke Konkle, Christopher Girton and his fiancé, Caroline King, Lydia Brockman, Samuel Girton and Killian Brockman; her step-grandchildren, Justin, Jacob and Owen Leap; her great-grandchildren, Holden Knox, Hailey Knox, Peyton Knox and Antonio Dease; her sisters, Carolyn J. Miller of Vevay, IN and Pamela K. Reed of Vevay, IN; her brother, David Reed of Center Square, IN; her sisters-in-law, Saundra Kay Adams and her husband, Kenneth of Bennington, IN and Tonia Lee Smith and her husband, Roger of Bennington, IN and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Reed, died October 26, 2003 and Rebecca Jane "Becky" (Wolf) Reed, died May 9, 2015 and her brother-in-law, Rev. Kenneth Earl "Kenny" Miller, died March 7, 2017.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
