Obituary for Silas Aaron Fletcher

Silas Aaron Fletcher, age 47, of Switzerland County Indiana passed away on March 7, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Silas was born to Josh and Amy Fletcher in Margao Goa India and was quite the world traveler before the age of 5, having lived in India, Nepal, Pakistan and Guatemala with his missionary parents. Throughout his short stay on earth, Silas attended Switzerland County Elementary School and Switzerland County High School for four years and attained his GED in 1994. Silas’s work history included: Dow Corning, Hanover Nursing, Rotary Lift, Kings Daughter Hospital and UPS. Silas was extremely proud of his military service in the National Guard from 1995 through June of 2000 where he specialized as a mechanic for Infantry and Artillery.

Silas will be best remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, love of family, appreciation of good music and food. Silas was preceded in death 4 months earlier by his brother Andrew Stephen Ross. He will be greatly missed by his parents Amy and Josh Fletcher as well as his stepmother Barbara Ross Fletcher. He will also be sorely missed by his siblings, Eric Fletcher (Amanda), Anna Stewart, Christina Fletcher, Ben Ross (Preaw) and Fletcher Ross. He will especially be missed by all of his nieces and nephews whom he had a special relationship: Kaelan, Phoenix, Wesley, El, Rayna, Jacob, Jasmine, Lia and Kora. They absolutely loved when uncle Silas came around because he always played with them and showed a personal interest in their lives. He loved children! Silas was a lively and enthusiastic guy and approached any endeavor whole heartedly and intensely. Many of the people who have reached out to the family commented on what a good hearted and fun guy Silas was and how he will be missed.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

A Celebration of Silas' Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
