Obituary for Timothy Wayne "Tim" Willis

Mr. Timothy Wayne "Tim" Willis, age 65, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on January 16, 1955 in Milan, Indiana. He was the son of the late, William Enoch "Buck" and Mary Elizabeth (Brameier) Willis. Tim was inducted into the United States Army on September 25, 1974 in Louisville, Kentucky, serving during the Vietnam War. He served in Germany and received the National Defense Service Medal and Marksman M16. Tim was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class on August 25, 1975 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was employed for American Racing as a machine operator and was a truck driver for 20 years. Tim resided in the Florence, Indiana community most of his life and for 10 years in Virginia. He later moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky where he resided until his death. Tim was a member of the Florence Church of Christ in Florence, Indiana. Tim passed away at 1:50 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020, at his residence in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Tim is survived by his son, Jesse Wayne Willis of Basye, Virginia; his grandchildren, Hunter and Blake Willis of Basye, Virginia and his cousin, Jean Tinker of Vevay, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Enoch "Buck" Willis, died May 4, 1956 and Mary Elizabeth (Brameier) Willis, died October 10, 2005 and his aunt, Ruth A. (Brameier) Schwade, died July 10, 2014.

Interment will be held in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
