Laugh, enjoy the music, sing along and interact with the troupe in a delightful outing to the Boggstown Cabaret, a hidden gem in the "middle of a cornfield" north of Shelbyville, IN. Manned by professional entertainers, the show, now in its 27th season, always generates a fun time. Outside, the look suggests feed mill, but inside the decor emulates the popular supper clubs of the 1920s and 30s.

Complete with live polka music, beautiful fall foliage on both sides of the winding Ohio River and a German-theme brunch, enjoy Oktoberfest the Kentuckiana way aboard a 3-hour cruise on the Belle of Louisville. In addition to the traditional and lively "Oompah, Oompah" of expanding accordion bellows, guests may also hear refrains of "Happy Birthday" as the historic steamboat, that was originally launched in Pittsburg in 1914 as a ferry boat, will celebrate its 100th birthday the same month. Be on board when the grand vessel blows its original 3-bells, cast-iron whistle to welcome Oktoberfest guests.
•Cost $80 (Cost covers transportation, brunch and cruise.)
•Departure Time 9:15 a.m. both days. (From bank lot next to Morgan & Nay)

We may not see the colorful fashion hats, celebrities and the California Chromes that earmark the first Saturday in May, but we will certainly enjoy the same seats and view, including the new 171 x 90 foot digital screen that brings every inch of the race up close and personal. Of course, it's optional if guests want to bet. But a sure win for everyone will be a great brunch, premier seating and a panoramic view of the famous Churchill Downs which has been a Louisville landmark since 1875. Definitely a trifecta for our day trip guests.
Cost - $75 (Cost covers transportation, track admission ticket and brunch.)
Departure time 9 a.m. (From bank lot next to Morgan & Nay)
