Mrs. Josephine "Jo" (Greene) Scotti, age 78, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 17, 1936, in Muncie, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Alonzo & Martha M. (Covington) Greene. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana, where she attended school. Jo was united in marriage on August 30, 1973, in Vevay, Indiana, to the late, Anthony R. "Tony" Scotti. Jo & Tony shared 24 years of marriage together until he passed away on June 25, 1997. Jo was a former Cook at the Vevay VFW Post #5396, for several years & had worked at the Vevay American Legion Post #185 with Melvlena Hambrick. In 1956, Jo was formerly employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for 26 years. She was a member of the Vevay VFW Post #5396 Ladies Auxiliary & the Vevay American Legion Post #185 Ladies Auxiliary. Jo will be dearly missed by her friends & family. Jo was a devoted mother, grandmother & sister. Jo died at 8:00 am, Monday, August 18, 2014, at her daughters residence in Moorefield, Indiana.

Jo will be missed by her daughters: Sandra Jo "Sandy" Caplinger & her husband: Paul Eddie of Moorefield, IN, Deborah White & her husband: Tim of Bright, IN; her step-daughter: Tonya Lee Smith & her husband: Roger of Bennington, IN; her grandsons: Shawn Caplinger, Michael Caplinger, Steve White & Gary White; her step-grandchildren: Ashley, Scotty, Hailey & Trevor; her great-grandchildren: Zachary, Cheyenne & Linsey Caplinger; her 3-step-great-grandchildren; her sister: Betty Waldron of Madison, IN;her brothers: Richard W. Greene of Madison, IN, Anthony Wayne Greene of Madison, IN; her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alonzo & Martha M. (Covington) Greene; her husband of 24 years: Anthony R. "Tony" Scotti, died June 25, 1997; her 1-infant brother & 1-infant sister; her sisters: Jean Greene, died at the age of 3, Emma Lee Greene, Patsy Lou Adams, Lillian Mae White & Pauline Caswell Yengich; her brother: Robert T. Greene.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 25, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Pastor K.C. Banta, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
