Mrs. Shirley "Kay" (Emery) Sullivan, age 64, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 20, 1950, in Vevay, Indiana, the daughter of the late, Thomas C. & Dixie (McIntosh) Emery. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana, where she attended school. Kay was united in marriage on May 13, 1972, in Vevay, Indiana, to the late, Lawrence Edward Sullivan. Kay & Lawrence shared nearly 35 years of marriage together until he passed away on October 14, 2007. Kay was a former CNA at the Jackson Nursing Home in Vevay, Indiana & in Fresno, California. She was also a former employee at the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for several years. Kay resided in the Fresno California Community for several years & moved back to the Vevay Indiana Community, where she resided the past 4 years. Kay will be remembered for her love of her dogs, collecting items & traveling the countryside. Kay died at 11:49 am, Sunday, October 5, 2014, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Kay will be missed by her great-nieces & caregivers: Canduce McDonald of Vevay, IN & Jessica Henry of Fresno, CA; her sister: Anna Bailey of Fairview, IN; her several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas C. & Dixie (McIntosh) Emery; husband: Lawrence Edward Sullivan; her sisters: Shookie Emery & Myrtle "Mickey" Emery Morris; her brothers: John William Emery, Charles Wayne Emery, James Wesley Emery & Thomas B. "Buddy" Emery.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Keith Morris, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery, Patriot, Indiana.
