Mrs. Grace Elizabeth "Libby" (Beatty) Swango, age 81, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 1, 1933, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the daughter of the late, Everett & Bessie (Coy) Beatty. She was raised in Florence, Indiana and was a 1951 graduate of Vevay High School. Libby was united in marriage on July 4, 1954, in Vevay, Indiana, to Clifford Swango, Jr. and to this union arrived two sons, Steve & Jeff and a daughter, Brenda to bless their home. Libby and Clifford shared 60 years of marriage together until her death. She was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for 10 years. Libby was a member of the Old Vevay Tabernacle Church. Libby will be remembered for being a wonderful homemaker, playing Yahtzee and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Libby died at 10:51 am, Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Libby will be missed by her loving husband of 60 years: Clifford Swango, Jr. of Vevay, IN; her sons: Steve Swango & his wife: Linda of Vevay, IN & Jeff Swango of Vevay, IN; her daughter: Brenda Boyd of Bancroft, MI; her grandchildren: Chandell, Kara, Lewis, Jessica, Clint, Serena & Audrey; her great-grandchildren: EmmaLee Michelle & William Ronald.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Everett & Bessie (Coy) Beatty; her sisters: Dorothy Mae Boulton, Aldean Scudder & Ruby Scudder; her brothers: Everett Beatty, Jr. & Carroll Beatty.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 19, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Casey Banta, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, Indiana.
