Mrs. Vivian Lillian (Chenard) Chase, age 86, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 9, 1929, in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of the late, Henri & Catherine (Riley) Chenard. She was raised in Mojave, California, where she attended school. Vivian was united in marriage on June 29, 1946, in Mojave, California, to the late, Donald Lee "Bud" Chase & to this union arrived two sons, Henri & Robert & a daughter, Donna to bless their home. Vivian & Don shared 65 years of marriage together until his death on October 15, 2011. Vivian was a former Painter for Randall's Textron in Vevay, Indiana, for 15 years. She resided on Tapps Ridge in Switzerland County, Indiana, since 1963. Vivian will be remembered for her love of reading, genealogy & quilting. Vivian died at 12:35 pm, Sunday, May 17, 2015, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Vivian will be missed by her sons: Henri Chase & his wife: Anne of Conway, SC & Robert Lee Chase & his wife: Ellen of Hanover, IN; her daughter: Donna Richards of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren: Lisa, Lee Ann, Eric, Tina, Cate & Roy; her 14-great-grandchildren; her 2-great-great-grandchildren; her 3-step-great-grandchildren & her 4-step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Henri & Catherine (Riley) Chenard; her husband of 65 years: Donald Lee "Bud" Chase, died October 15, 2011; her grandson: Ross Allen Richards; her great-grandson: Linville Troy McGinnis; her brother: Henri Chenard & her 2-infant brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 11:00 am, by Pastor KC Banta, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana.
